Global Approaches
to Learning English

12-Program Transformation

After rapid shifts in the English Language Learning education sector, York University's English Language Institute’s (ELI) programming required a major update to meet evolving expectations of students, global partners, and industry alike.

For hundreds of students from all over the world, enrolling across 12 separate programs, the over-assessment of distinct skills, a disconnect from current global issues, and a lack of cohesion between program offerings created a perfect storm and a perfect opportunity for a complete institution-wide refresh.
